Current Exhibition
Segantini’s Pavilion of Light
On view: 28 June 2025 – 18 October 2025
This exhibition invites visitors into the very heart of Giovanni Segantini’s artistic vision: his relationship with light, sky, and the spiritual power of the mountains. Housed inside the round wooden Atelier designed by the artist himself, the show offers a multi-sensory experience of historic and contemporary works in dialogue.
Exhibition Highlights
Original artworks by Giovanni, Gottardo, and Mario Segantini, showcasing three generations of Alpine creativity
Vintage photographs by Giovanni Segantini, rarely shown, offering intimate glimpses into his world
Contemporary photography by Gabriele Heidecker, capturing the atmosphere of Casa Segantini and the Atelier today
A glowing Murano glass chandelier, designed by Gottardo Segantini, casting light across the rotunda floor in a sun motif
Part of the valley-wide project “Light and Shadow in the Engadin”, this exhibition places Segantini’s vision in conversation with modern interpretations — from archival detail to luminous reinterpretation.
Visitors are invited to slow down, observe the sky through the Atelier’s dome, and immerse themselves in the unique relationship between light, memory, and place.
